Chinadotcom (NASDAQ:CHINA), AFP in sports website JV ================================================================ HONG KONG, June 12 (Reuters) - Asian Internet firm Chinadotcom Corp said on Monday it had formed an Internet sports content firm with news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP). The joint venture company, sportasia.com, would provide coverage of local and international sport in Asia, as well as chatrooms and online sports clubs, the firms said in a statement. Sportasia.com would launch a simplified Chinese character version for the Chinese market in July and a traditional Chinese version for Taiwan and Hong Kong in August. Chinadotcom would design and support the site and be responsible for its sales and marketing, while AFP would contribute its media content and editorial expertise, they said.
