What does everyone expect for 2nd quarter earnings? 1996 4th quarter = 14 cents 1997 1st quarter = 18 cents 1997 2nd quarter = 24 cents(??) 1997 3rd quarter = 30 cents (??) 1997 4th quarter = 36 cents (??) year total = $1.08 If earnings of 24 cents are achieved for the 2nd quarter, that would give earnings of 67 cents for the previous 4 quarters. Would that cause the stock to go up or down? Opinions from longs and shorts are requested.
