Thread- There is nothing legally wrong with being poor in the communications department. And there is nothing wrong with screwing up and missing their guidance. Both are just a clear sign of ineptness with communicating. Neither of which is illegal. And if indeed, the MASSIVE selloff was related to their CFO missing the conference, this is not illegal either. Just another sign of ineptness in the way it was handled.

What would concern me is who sold before the CFO broadcast he was skipping the conference. That IMO would be suspect. But even an insider statement leaked of that nature, although not broadcast publicly, is still questionable as, "trading on inside information." It's going to be interesting to watch how this unwinds. Kind of an unusual situation.

If they get sued because their CFO missed a conference, then what next? If he spends too much time in the restroom and has a stomach-ache(of which I'm sure he'll have now), should that be broadcast publicly? Or if he misses a plane and the tank stocks 30%. Should they broadcast his missed conference, due to a missed plane, publicly too?

I guess I really don't want to add any further comments about this. Just wanted to get my $.02 off before we get innudated with lawyers broadcasting their ads for plantiffs on the Internet news sources. End of the subject for me. -MikeM(From Florida)
