You have some great title ideas for the book.

<Title suggestions? Perhaps Shareholder Rape or The Art of Self-Dealing?>

Now we need a good guy. Maybe there is someone in the world that can see the same future value Silver Lakes has seen. They should easily be able to leverage several billion for a leveraged buyout. Or, all they need to do is come up with a proposal to run SEG and spin off VRTS to the shareholders and they could easily be voted in. IMHO shareholders would vote a new board that would keep SEG operations for a while and still get the VRTS value distributed. Then we would have a happy ending and the bad guys would be out in the street.

However, we will not be able to see the surprise ending until close to voting time. A long campaign would be very expensive. I expect two weeks of mailing letters and WSJ advertisements before the ballots are sent out. Another few weeks of campaigning before the count will likely cost millions but the results could be very generous for the effort.

This could be a best seller.

Regards,
Mark
