well, the patient may be in "Heavy duty 24 hour watch in the intensive care ward", but that doesn't mean you haven't gotten one step closer to resolving the problem.

as i was saying in #reply-13843030 , the ensign people pointed at the norton software as the likely culprit. you removed all of it from your hard drive. now you have some solid info to go back to them with, i.e it ain't norton.

this puts you closer to a solution, imo. one way to find out what's wrong is to find out what isn't wrong.

what about taking their software off your machine and seeing whether you get crashes? sounds like you're getting to the point of doing an uninstall and reinstall of their software anyway.
