Question on AMD's earnings estimates:

According to Yahoo, AMD is projected to earn $4.66 in 2000 decreasing to $4.31 in 2001. I realize this is a huge jump for calendar year 2000, but why the decrease next year? Is this supposed to be a short-term bump or another cycle of AMD's ups and downs?
