It was clever enough to hide such effect Even if we assume full magic powers there are effects. If you are talking magic with a purpose there is a greater effect since the information of that purpose must travel across the item being created. The act of covering up an effect has in turn it's own effect as the information of the coverup is transfered to item and now it's surroundings. Only through continuous correction can even a seblence of the original intent be maintained, but this is pretty much the simulation scenario. It's a long way from free will. TP
