Hi Wayne,

Speaking of writing, you seem to have a talent for it! Don't disagree with your commentary. Do applaud your enthusiasm for the game. That does make for good reading. Professionally however, as you know, it is hard to break in with the Fourth Estate especially in The Big Apple. You really have to be good and lucky. Bloodlines help ;)

Bit of Trivia from Readers Digest:

In the 1920s John J. Fitzgerald, a horse-racing writer for the New York Morning Telegraph, was on assignment in New Orleans and overheard two stable hands refer to New York's
racetracks as "the big apple", meaning they were something special. Fitzgerald dubbed his column "On the Big Apple", and the term became synonymous with the New York racing scene.
