To me, this demonstrates a flaw in the monopoly theory. There is no reason to ever buy from Microsoft again, unless they have something new that you want.

Now if you're buying a new PC, the reasonable options are Windows or Linux or MacOS. Windows is most popular, but there is a choice, and all options provide for consumer needs.

Where's the dependence on Microsoft? Where's the monopoly? I sincerely want to know if I'm missing something.
