Indeed.

I wonder if any of the evidence produced by the hacker would be admissable in court? Or could a law enforcement agency subpoena enough stuff (the spammer's hard disk for example) to get a conviction?

Another interesting question to ask yourself: if you were the hacker in this case, and you saw the emails that told you which stock was going to get pumped and when, would you have been tempted to begin playing the P&D yourself?

Oh well. In any case, I think this case teaches us that if you are going to tick off a hacker, it's wise first to eliminate any nude pictures of yourself from your hard disk, so that they don't get posted on the internet ;-)
