IBEAM at STREAMING MEDIA 2000: NYC Just returned from the Streaming Media East Exhibition. iBeam was by far one of the most impressive companies there. While many of the other companies appeared to be looking for applications for their"technology" (much of which was "so what" to me), iBeam clearly had a product which has a market. The design and scale of it's network bypasses most of the log jams others will experience trying to truly stream media. They are also sponsoring a live event in NYC tonight with Elvis Costello, Ben Stein and his side kick Jimmy (the Man Show) Sommers. It appeared to be the event to be at tonight from talk at the convention. A great way to blast out of the "quiet period".
