Hey Danger! Thanks for the comments. Yes, the coons and possums are still coming to the community feeding nightly. We still go through probably 100-125 cookies that we individually spread peanut butter on per night. Plus, probably 50 lbs or so of crunchy dog food per week.

We feed them in shifts. Momma coon always comes first. Just after dark. She'll sit on the roof above the deck, and as soon as we put the trays out, she climbs down this tree that grows through our deck just outside the family room door, and eats. She is so tame that I can go sit down beside her within reach. We have handed her cookies but not let her grab them out of our hands. Too dangerous of course.

If she eats them all, she comes to the door. We usually have other trays ready standing by. The other night, I opened the door to set another tray out and she would have come in the house if I'd let her.

Then after her, her babies come. Usually two together and then a single one. Sometimes all together. There is another one that also comes at times. Sometimes we have 5 at a time. Then there are possums who come up from the other side of the deck. Coons use one set of steps, possum the other. The baby possum likes the tree on the deck and he'll get up in the limb and look in the window. Very tame as well. Likes the cookies laid out on the limb in front of him.... spoiled rotten.

Anyway, they come and go all night. We usually set the trays out at different times to spread the shifts out as different ones come at different times during the night up until we go to bed. The dog food we put in 3 huge pans and keep it stocked constantly.

So, there ya go .... that's the animal report! Thanks for asking. In fact, the first feeding is getting made right this minute. The production line with the family fixing the stuff is in the kitchen now and I better go help with those cookies! Hee hee hee
