re: institutional holdings,

Can anyone comment on whether there are rules/regulations/common practices whereby institutions would be forced to sell holdings that dropped to a certain price, say under $5. And on the flip side, what about buying into a stock that is still at the level of ALRC?
Are there any regulations or is it mostly individual institution's internal policies that govern when they can buy and sell?

thanks,

tom
