i don't think it necessary to exclude religion from the spectrum, though, i don't share your entirely black view of it for one thing, and for another a study of religion i would consider as part of basic understanding of culture and history ...

No, from that point of view, religion can not be excluded, how can it be ? It is a reminder of their true kindness and brotherhood that human kind is capable. I would never exclude religion from the history of mankind. It is the ultimate human expression of hatred and evil. Like it was said, hell is still their headquarters.

My "black view" of them is earned by them. As I have said in the past, if they let me be, (including my "sphere of interest"), I don't care about what they do, my best recepy to myself, is to ignore them and set them aside as it they were a container with radioactive material, lock it and sen it in a rocket to the sun, it will be burned out.

What is the point of exchanging any idea with them as they will never be capable of clear thinking, they will always come up with some distorted view of reality as to why all the good is due to their gods, and all the evil to their demons, and in the middle it is our fault why it is that way, it is a waste of time.

But I do have a problem if they start spewing their moonshine to me, I do not care for it and I do not want to waste my time, yet there is always the retard that will insist, regardless. Talking to a down syndrome person seems more reasonable.

i'll have little fear for the vulnerability of their minds to the sacerdote.

Exactly !

i was raised in extreme religion, and know that to be wrong, but the period of fear and loathing seems to have passed, and i just don't think it important enough to be scarey any more

I do not fear them, nor I hate them, I just despise that they always attempt to convert me and sell their moonshine. I also find dangerous, their attempt to influence children, but I do not fear them, I love to expose them. (you may say it is a form of sport for me.)

... show me a fanatic evangelic and that changes, though -g-

Most of them are already half way there. Their ability to ignore facts and put on some strange glasses that allows them to view reality from a very distorted angle has always amazed me.

Of course, the real extremist (you know the type, but we will not mention names, since we do not want to invoke the known derelicts), that is a different story.

As an exercise, I always remind myself of the many Jewish people that stayed in Germany after it was evident that Hitler was no boy scout. In spite of advice to the contrary, many stayed, and paid with their lives for their error.

Anyway, I believe we have beaten this horse to a pulp. Forget religion and have nice thoughts !
