Rambus-related woes are expected to continue for Intel at
least until it unveils Willamette, its next-generation processor
slated for the end of the year. Analysts warn that because of Intel's
recent glitches, they won't be surprised if Willamette is delayed.
"I have a feeling that Willamette will be delayed," said Hickey.
"That will have a significant impact on Intel, much more than Timna."
An Intel spokesman reiterated that Willamette, slated for the second
half of this year, will only feature Rambus memory.
