<<All of the deer around here travel in very small groups (2 or 3). >> Our deer seem to travel at 1/2 dozen to the bunch and at times hook up bunches to make a real herd. I've seen as many as 19 in a bean field strung out going single file. I think that people have seen them so often they tend to watch for them now. One of the cats had a baby bunny this morning. Still alive. Cat was playing keep away under the boat so I couldn't take the bunny away so I got my .22 and shot the bunny in the head to end it's agony. That made the cat drop the bunny. I hate having to do that.
