If I remember right Phoenix Regular is 85 Octane, which can only be used without knocking at higher elevations. Do you know if you folks had RFG effective June 1? If not, the combination might explain your good fortune. MH: You are paying high gas prices in the Chitown area largely because a major products pipeline went down for unplanned maintenance a few weeks ago. I was passing through the area when prices first jumped, read about it in the local papers, and posted about it here. You may be correct about the gouging as well. I would have expected prices to have dropped a bit by now.
