SI Admin (Bob): I find this post of yours a little confusing giving your earlier response to inquiries regarding more than one person posting under the same alias.

Message 13874752

I think folks questioned you regarding the fact that Pluvia and or others are in fact more than one person posting under a single alias. In some cases a company might have a single membership in which more than one employee uses the same membership to post to SI. (I would try to find your post, but the text search for SI has not updated in over two weeks and I don't remember when or where you replied to the above questions regarding more than one individual posting under one alias.)

I find this a very gray area with "unfair" built into this policy if it is not "nailed down"!

Would it be ok for say a family to have one membership as well allowing all family members to post under one alias? And if so, how far could the net be extended to say...ants, uncles and or second cousins? <gg> Would it be ok for a club to have one membership as well allowing all club members to post under one alias? For instance could AAA have a single alias for all its members? <gg> It would not be a stretch for folks to form their own small clubs to skate the rules? Who is to say what is a legitimate business, family or club! Would the Manson family qualify? <g>

Personally I think, one person per membership (no matter what), should be the standard.

Regards,
LG
