The reason I end up with such an extraordinary concentration is because early on, I couldn't find anything else that was as good a value; a better investment. Along the way, particularly at the point where MOST of a portfolio becomes SUNW, diversification becomes a desired thing to be. Then, just as earlier, I found nothing better; no better investment. --- So, really, I'm always looking for something as good. I've just not been able to find it yet. This eggs in one basket thing bothers me. It's the ongoing fundamental analysis that causes the concentration. Just as my friend Charles Tutt ends up with a similar portfolio through cost averaging, I end up there similarly by finding nothing better to diversify into. --- There are several of us (hyper-concentrated in SUNW) here. It's not because were crazy (although that helps). It's all about finding a certain diversification *within SUNW, and being *that comfortable with the way Sun prospects fit into our world view. --- "What if's" such as whatif SUNW fell back to 40 or 45 would be part of a much larger whatif. In that case, what if the Nasdaq went to 2,000. In that case, I'd be glad to be IN SUNW because when the smoke cleared... --- Knowing who and what SUNW is key. I've never studied ANYTHING (any one thing) as thoroughly as I have SUNW and the market it swims in. --- To me it's like a mutual fund. I don't lose sleep. Granted, I spend a LOT of time reading and posting on the SUNW investor message board and keeping up to the minute with SUNW news. And, I'm not suggesting there's no element of 'luck'. I really doubt I'd ever be able to duplicate this investment success later in my life as an investor. --- Neither luck nor timing were the driver here though. It's just doing a whole lot of research and sticking with what I know best that got me, and keeps me here. I've got better than a 1000% return to date (4 years), and I fully expect a similar return going forward. Someday SUNW will run out of gas. After much research, I'm of the opinion that that day is farther off than I can project today. --- Do your own research. There are other fine equities out there. SUNW is the one *I know. What I also know though though is that traders on this thread are never here very long. Examine the history. -JCJ
