Dear Sam:
As Gregor has already told you, you will be lifted up in prayer by many people and God will hear those prayers. I am glad to read that you and your wife are Christians. You both have already taken the first, and most important, step. The very fact that you posted your needs here tells me that you believe in prayer - so do we. I would also encourage you to speak directly with some fellow believers whom you know and can trust so they can pray for you and offer some further insights from a Christian perspective. In the meantime, I offer this prayer on your behalf:
Father, my brother, Sam, has asked for prayer on his behalf. You know his financial situation and you know his needs. I pray that you would provide him with the direction that he so desperately wants and needs. I pray that during these times of trouble and turmoil in his life that you would make your presence through the Holy Spirit known to him and his wife in such a real way that they would have a peace that surpasses all understanding. Father, I also pray that you would dispatch Christian brothers and sisters to minister directly to Sam and his wife. Finally, Father, I pray that one day Sam will be able to truthfully thank you for these dark days as he will come to understand that when he needed you the most you were there for him, ever faithful, and full of love and compassion. These things I pray in the name of your Holy Son, Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen
