I think some of the recent downturn can be attributed to the lack of concern for keeping high quality software on the go2net sites.

Currently there are a number of hypermart users who paid for ad free hosting, yet the ads are appearing on each and every webpage.

It's things like this that keep people from buying into the big picture for Go2net. When they put out new software, they need a much more rigorous process to validate and confirm they don't break old code.

I wouldn't be suprised if a mass exodus were to occur as people move their sites to somewhere else...

Go2Net should take problems such as these much more serious and have redundant systems so that if such a problem were to occur in the future, they could just flip a switch...

Just having a process and sticking to it would be a step towards the better.

I've got a pretty good idea of what it would take, plus I've got the experience. I would hope Go2Net takes the current problem seriously and after they fix it, try to figure out what happened to cause this problem to occur in the first place. If it's process (how / what it takes to release a new version), then the process is flawed.

If it's because of a hardware issue, they should have hot-spares... ready to go at an instant's notice.

If it's management, then someone needs to rethink what they are doing....
