I was rolling on the floor when I read your explanation. Who knows, they just might do this.

You are correct about Sundstrom. Churla played a regular shift on Sunday against the Devils in his place. He had a very controlled and forceful game. He can't score though, so at best he's like a checking forward. Sundstom scored some 25+ goals, and was a 2 way player. He will be missed against Philly, and if they get that far, against those flying Western guys, be it Detroit aor Colorado.

I think this could be the final year of Mess with the Rangers. They might use his salary slot and try to sign 2 scoring forwards, who are younger then 30. They have to start getting some youth on this team. Grtez will be back. He's under contract for 1 more year.
