Did you mean a pun by "nicer announcement" because it is posted from Nice, France?

No pun intended... :)
On another note, the trials must have gone well,
because we now have a first customer of Dyband:

First Customer Ship Of CrossKeys Dyband

Storm selects CrossKeys Dyband and signs reseller agreement

KANATA, Ontario, Canada (June 13, 2000)-CrossKeys Systems Corporation (Nasdaq: CKEY; TSE: CKY) announced today that Storm Internet Services has purchased CrossKeys Dybandâ broadband services management software to improve the management of their wireless Internet access traffic and ensure that its customers receive the high-quality Internet services they purchased. In addition to the software sale, Storm also signed a reseller agreement to sell CrossKeys Dyband to other service providers and enterprise customers.

Storm is a fast-growing Internet Service Provider (ISP) with about 3,000 dial-up customers and about 300 businesses using asynchronous digital subscriber line (ADSL) and wireless connections to access the Internet.

"Storm is an example of an aggressive new breed of ISP that is using narrowband and broadband technologies to deliver Internet services to their business and residential customers," says Steve Getz, Vice President of Broadband Access Products, CrossKeys. "This rapidly growing group of ISPs need a comprehensive, single product for managing all of their access services."

With CrossKeys Dyband software, ISPs can dynamically manage bandwidth (supporting 40% more subscribers on existing broadband connections), offer unlimited tiers of service and gain real-time and historical visibility into service performance. These capabilities allow ISPs to improve the profit potential of their core business by increasing service revenues, reducing operational costs and delivering consistent high-speed service that meets customer expectations.

"We are expecting the number of clients on the wireless network to ramp up quite steeply through the year and what the Dyband product is going to do is allow us to properly manage that growth and plan for any capacity we might need to add over the long term," says Herb Hartwig, President, Storm. "The way we want to proceed is that if customers use more bandwidth or less bandwidth then that gets reflected in how much they pay. We see definite value in reselling this software to our business customers so they can manage their internal Internet demands and traffic."

"This sale is early and tangible evidence of the demand from both ISPs and enterprise customers for broadband service management products that can help them control one of their key assets - bandwidth," says Ian McLaren, President and CEO, CrossKeys. "We are excited to be able to deliver CrossKeys Dyband to these markets ahead of schedule."
