I thought it very interesting that he came to the conclusion that there must be measurement error as a result of no productivity increase in the data when it was broken down into sectors.

It seemed he wanted to tell us that although the data was going to tell us that there was *no* productivity increase in many areas, not to worry... it's all just measurement error. Never mind that BLS thinks energy prices are going down... certainly no measurement error there, everything's just peachy, and inflation's moderating.

BTW, gas is now up to $1.79 here, up from $1.65 a few days ago... that's for the cheap stuff.
