I just got back from the shareholders' meeting.
Here's a tidbit that was shared at the meeting:
Speedyclick, at the time of acquisition by Network Commerce, was generating $75,000 in sales per month. The latest monthly report shows Speedyclick sales of $1,000,000.
Sales skyrocketed from $75,000 to $1,000,000 in ONLY 6 MONTH!!!! Now that's GROWTH!

I got there a few minutes late so I don't know what I missed. Anyway, here's what I have.

Network Commerce is part of the 4th wave of Internet Enablers, peers include Digitial River and Cybersource. Network Commerce reported 44% GM, Digital River has been reporting 17% - 20% GM.
DW stated Network Commerce clearly has the BEST commerce enabler business model (ONLY company with complete end to end solutions). They have invested 100 million in their data centers, he considers them the BEST in the world. (500 servers, 250 Web servers, 200 DB servers, 18 routers, 12 Load Balancers, 24 switches??.)

Stated unlike retailers/etailers, most of Network Commerce?s costs are fixed, as revenues increase, cost as percentage of sales decreases. Perception by many was that the company?s business was seasonal and Q4 1999 represented their peak performance and business would drop off in Q1 2000. Network Commerce's Q1 2000 numbers proved them wrong. The merchant base grew from 37,000 in Q3 1999 to 61,000 in Q1 2000 AND with an increase in the percentage of merchants subscribing to their top tier of service.

New group recently formed within the company, the Media Commerce Group, in support of the high speed access network.
Of the 600 employees, 200 are technical. The technical group is involved in ongoing R&D in the wireless and high speed access arena, in some cases this involves partners and joint ventures. Network Commerce does not share much with the public regarding the R&D work because of the fast moving and competitive nature of this sector.
The company measures key factors such as sales, churn and growth rate on a weekly basis so that they can expedite adjustments as needed.
The marketing of the new brand name and business model will be accomplished by traditional advertising and road shows with institutional and retail investors during May, June and July. Marketing budget as percentage of revenue will not be increased to promote the new brand name and the individual divisions.

Dwayne stated there are currently 65,000 customers of Freemerchant's services. He is comfortable in predicting that the customer base will grow to 3/4 OF A MILLION!
