It's a desperate emotional market swaying between fear and greed with all kinds of pincer movements being formed around it until it finally becomes enclosed, cut off, and then when the foodstores and the water begin to run out and disease sets in followed by the use of the very last medical supplies the vandals and the visigoths will simply open the doors themselves and let themselves in for the final plunder.
