Sam, another interesting datum is that the NYSE members have been buying heavily for five weeks in a row...and yet, the market has barely moved net-net during this time span. fact is, the trading desks are now up to their eyeballs in inventory, which explains the sudden outburst of 'soft landing, economy is slowing, Fed is done' hype. this inventory gets distributed now, to the mutual funds which have yet to deploy the inflows of the past three weeks. the various upgrades which are issued tell you which stocks the member firms have bought the most of. regards, hb
