Sherwin-Williams Selects Industri-Matematik For Major B2B Supply Chain and Customer Service Initiative

MT. LAUREL, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 14, 2000--

Fortune 400 Company to Deploy VIVALDI(TM)e-Commerce Suite to Manage Fulfillment and Replenishment Across Multiple Brands and Achieve "Perfect Order" Process

Industri-Matematik International Corp. (NASDAQ:IMIC) today announced a new, multi-year contract with the Consumer Group of The Sherwin-Williams Co. to provide its VIVALDI(TM)suite of supply chain and customer service software. The Industri-Matematik software is the cornerstone of Sherwin-Williams Consumer Group's "perfect order" strategy for the Group's multiple business units.

Sherwin-Williams Consumer Group and Industri-Matematik will partner with IBM to provide the integration technology and framework to connect VIVALDI fulfillment and call center management software with Sherwin's existing enterprise applications, including i2 Technologies' supply chain planning software. Both Industri-Matematik and i2 are key partners in IBM's Global Supply Chain Management initiative.

"VIVALDI software will enable us to achieve rapid time-to-benefit by providing one operating view of all customer activities across all business units, helping us better serve our customers," said Bill Antonace, Consumer Group Vice President of Operations and Supply Chain Management at Sherwin-Williams. "It will also manage the complex logistics of multiple business units - each with expansive product lines and diverse sales channels - to improve service levels and increase operating efficiencies. Additionally, the consolidated order process will move us towards zero errors which impacts the bottom-line by reducing costly product returns."

"The challenge to achieving the perfect order is managing and uniting all customer touch-points across an organization," said John Geraci, senior vice president, worldwide sales and marketing at Industri-Matematik. "By addressing its complete fulfillment and customer service requirements, Sherwin-Williams Consumer Group will be able to transform itself quickly to managing all interactions through a single point of contact."
