You continue to misunderstand me.

When I said, in jest, that the cpi would be negative, that's exactly what I meant, that it would be a deflationary cpi. I did not mean that it would be interpreted as bad. That would be wildly bullish for the markets.

I was only making light of the BLS statistics which show that energy costs went down, when clearly that did not happen.

If you can find a source that supports the ppi and cpi energy component data during that period, I'd love to see it. - no grin -
