GOLD is to merge with Franco-Nevada, exchanging shares at a rate of .35 share of FN for each share of GOLD. FN is selling at over 16, making this worth $5.82. Ah --I see why GOLD is selling at under $4.00. FN must be quoted in $ Canadian. I thought I had spotted an incredible arbitrage and indeed it would be except for the currency thing. This still could be a good bet, if the Canadian (natural resources rich) dollar rises against the US (silicon chip rich) dollar.
