Roebear, my sense is that if they do not raise interest rates next week gold will start taking of. Same will apply to oil stocks.

This move will be typical of an end of a bull market. Later this summer inflation will hit in earnest as the dollar will weaken.

The whole think can be avoided if they raise another 25 bp at least but preferable 0.50% which in turn will support the dollar.

My bet is on no rate raise as the FED are chicken with a very short term view. Kind it does not get into their head that lowering rates can also be done any time.
