What I would like to have is a mechanical method for choosing stocks to short and when to do it. I have a general idea, but I need to test and optimize it. The idea is to find stocks at or slightly above their nearest resistance level when the market is showing signs of weakness. It's a bit of a programming job, but I think it's worth it. Anyway, it doesn't cost anything to run computer simulations, except the time and effort. I keep you posted on how it works.
