Greetings Rick,

Harley is coming up on their 100th anniversary in 2001, so they'll have tons of publicity - mostly fan generated. The company is one of the 20 most famous on earth (according to 'Selling the Invisible') and simply a great marketing firm. I own the stock in part, just to keep them constantly in front of me - it helps me in my work. The stock is sliding south a little now, the P/E's a little high, but it's a great long-term buy today. Harley is counter-cyclical to many of the 'net stocks, or so it seems to me. It provides a bed-rock for my portfolio and it's performed very well over the 4 years I've owned it.
