Anyone having printer problems after installing PacBellDSL??

I have my self-constructed setup with an ASUS P2B-S board (onboard SCSI U2W) and a 450 Pentium III. I am also running the Quantum 3d Raven video card, along with the Quantum 3d Obsidian accelerator card. and..(pant, pant) the SoundBlaster Pro audio card.

Good ol' Pac Bell came by, and installed their "free" Kingston card, and the "EtheRx VP 10/100" software. Since that time (end of March) I have been unable to print. Printer light goes on, software says "printing", but no paper advance. Have tried another printer. Nope. New cable. No help. Printer tech svcs (3 calls..no help) Kingston....denies all knowledge, even though their readme file says, "may affect BIOS if you run Windows98". Took it to Advanced 2000 (shop) and told them to upgrade BIOS, to version 1012, in case that is what it took. System runs better, but... they could not get printer to print either (shrug shrug). ASUS in Taiwan is hopeless. Hopeless, responseless....

Does dropping the modem card off the motherboard, have some effect? Last straw here. running out of patience.

$50 credit at your restaurant if you can fix this...
