AOL/SprintPCS/NOK connection. The question is whether NOK will be forced to use QCOM ASIC's in these phones that will be running in a 1X MC network.

AOL ANNOUNCES WIRELESS PLANS

America Online, Inc. (AOL) today announced its plans to
deliver AOL features and services to wireless consumers
through a series of agreements with wireless data carriers,
device, and mobile phone manufacturers.

These agreements are part of the company's "AOL
Anywhere" strategy to make its brands and features
available to online consumers across a range of devices.

Today's announcements include "AOL Mobile Messenger"
service, which will offer wireless access to AOL's e-mail
and Instant Messenger applications over personal, mobile
paging devices.

With these announcements, consumers will be able to access
AOL products and services through wireless relationships
with several partners, including:

ú Sprint PCS: AOL joined with Sprint PCS, to deliver 'AOL
Wireless' content and services to consumers via Sprint PCS
Internet-ready Phones;

ú Nokia: Nokia and AOL plan to develop a version of the
AOL Instant Messenger service for a variety of Nokia's
wireless handheld devices;

ú Motorola: AOL and Motorola plan to deliver AOL Mobile
Messenger services over a full array of Motorola wireless
devices; and

ú BellSouth: AOL will use the BellSouth network in its new
AOL Mobile Messenger service and plans to offer AOL's
e-mail and AOL Instant Messenger service to consumers
using BellSouth Intelligent Wireless Network-enabled
devices.
