I am not a computer programmer and I cannot speak to the intracasies (sp?) of wine and I was unaware that there were two 'vingages'. I was speaking only as an end user who bought WPO2000-linux and then reported my discovery about it being a Win-port and also describing my experiences at using it.

My only comment is BRAVO! and I hope that Corel can bring WPO-2000-linux to that level.......and, of course, offer a very reasonably priced upgrade to existing users.

Well, I can't speak to that either because I was completely unaware of the article. Also, in reporting my experiences, I don't think that I, in any way, insinuated that this was a common experience or that everyone could expect this experience ---I simply reported my experiences without comment.

I have no position in this stock long or short! I have been watching and studying Corel as a possible investment. I am a one person small business and I use WPO-2000/windows exclusively and I disagree with Rod MacPhersons's assertion that this suite is just a bunch rehashed crap with new pretty faces. - that describes without a doubt........Windows 3.1/95/98 and perhaps Windows 2K. The current WordPerfect, Quattropro, Paradox are not to be passed over - does Microsquish really have a better offering? Marketing does not imply quality; Quality implies quality!!
I really hope that Corel succeeds and I will continue to watch it.
