I've gotten some good trades out of Hot # trades. For example, I picked-up some AGIL at 49 the other day based on the hot #trades filter.

Like I mentioned over on the daytrading fundamentals thread, they tend to pull-back rather quickly, but many of them go on to end the day at a new high. I jumped the gun on AGIL (thinking I'd top-ticked it) but stuck with it for a very nice multi-day trade.

Of course, you have to assess the stocks that come through the filter using other technical and fundamental criteria. And many of these can be rather thin, and spreads can be wide. But sometimes (as in the case of AGIL) that (the thinness, anyway) can be a GOOD thing. :)
