A very good post from ionzone at Raging Bull.... Enjoy Gary
Hello everyone
I wanted to share some more experiences, explain why I initially invested in this company and give you a perspective on things that are taking place right now.
My initial due diligence, When I first looked at investing in this company the first thing I wanted to understand was their patents. How in the heck could anyone patent something like Ozone? As I studied their patents I could see that if they got as many patents in place with respect to the delivery of ozone and conducted clinical trials utilizing that technology that this could possibly work. Even if the treatment were as simple as 20 straight dosages of ozone those trials would be conducted with our patented delivery process. Any competitor would have to come up with a non-infringement Ozone delivery mechanism and start at square one with their tests. They would then need to duplicate the results that Doctor Hitt has been refining for several years. Knowing that Medizone was represented by one of the top patent firms Morgan & Finnegan I inquired on how broad their patents were. The patent attorneys at Morgan and Finnegan hold very strong opinions about Medizones patents being very encompassing and binding. I then had several conversations with Jane and William Hitt to gain a better understanding of the science. They were very encouraged yet guarded and conservative about how their testing was going. Doctor Hitt explained that he had been working on protocols for Hep C for a couple of years and was beginning to see encouraging results. I had several conversations with Ed and Jill and was not completely comfortable with their experience level and didn't like so much power concentrated between them. I was impressed with their honesty and commitment. My gut check on Ed was that he was a visionary, exactly what a company like this needed. I also felt Ed needed to be a little more low-key and realistic with his short-term goals and objectives, a fair trade off. I was very concerned about past management and the fact that Medizone had litigation hanging over it head, but at 10 cents a share it was a compelling investments story. That was a year or so ago and I have since had the good fortune to meet several other what I consider major stockholders. I have talked on numerous other occasions to Jill and Ed and as I recently posted spent 24 days at the Hitt institute.
Let me talk about where Medizone is today. We all know that all outstanding litigation both for and against Medizone have been resolved and all debts paid off. That was imperative because until that happened we were never going to get this thing out of the starting block. We also knew that the Hepatitis C virus was spreading worldwide and just maybe Doctor Hitt's work could be a treatment. Well let me tell you we have come a long way baby.
I have elaborated about Doctor Hitt's credentials in previous posts, suffice it to say he is a world class physician and scientist. In the 24 days that I was being treated at the Hitt Institute, Doctor Hitt and myself engaged in numerous conversations surrounding the epidemic spread of Hepatitis and how his treatments are progressing. He explained that there are actually 5 different hepatitis viruses and that Hepatitis A (HAV) and B (HAB) were the only recognized human viruses prior to 1975. In 1975 it was found that neither HAV nor HBV were causing most cases of transfusion-caused hepatitis. A specific test for this virus was developed in 1989 and was named Hepatitis C. In the early 1980's the term NANBH was used to differentiate transfusion-caused hepatitis and a new virus HVE that was more parentally transmitted. Recently a fifth hepatitis virus has been discovered that depends on HBV for its envelope. In HVB and HVC the liver will progress to a chronic stage in over 80% of infected people, and of those 20% will progress to liver cirrhosis and eventually cancer. Today chronic HVC is the leading cause of liver transplants in the United States. There are over 170 million chronic HVC carriers in the world, 4 million in North America alone. HVC progresses slowly, 40% either fully recover or are non-symptomatic. In a study period of 9 years of over 150 chronic HVC patients 30% developed cirrhosis and 15% cancer, and less than 3 percent were clinically cured. It is predicted that over the next 10 years most of these patients will die without a liver transplant. In another study over 9 years 100% of over 100 patients with chronic HVC remained positive. On the average it takes 20 years to progress from infection to cirrhosis and another 10 to cancer. We talked about how ineffectual and invasive to the immune system current treatments are. The human toll and economic impact this disease is inflicting is incomprehensible. I talked for hours with Doctor Hitt about how he is progressing with his protocols. He talked about how his patients viral loads post Ozone treatments continue to drop. Most of his initial patients were in a very advanced stage of chronic HVC and now have viral levels that are virtually undetectable and continue to drop. He can strengthen the immune system while at the same time reduce the viral loads to the point where the individuals own immune system can finish the job.
I personally met a lot of these people and they shared with me firsthand how this has saved their lives. We talked about the difference between what he was statistically measuring and the trials that are to be started. Would these results be as dramatic and repeatable in full clinical trials? He talked at length about how HVC is classified into different categories based on etiology. Drug-induced chronic, cryptogenic chronic, autoimmune chronic etc. He also discussed the 6 major HVC genotypes and the subtypes. He said that patient selection would be more specifically grouped based on particular Hep C types. Extensive patient histories will be evaluated and will be conducted in a double blind setting. Doctor Hitt talked about how the scoring will be conducted by using a histological grading system where the portal, periportal, intralobular necrosis and inflammation and fibrosis are scored independently and the results combined to generate a histological activity index. The index is then broken down to grade and stage. The grade describes the intensity of the necro-inflammotory activity measuring the disease process and identifies the parameters most responsive to therapy and the stage measures the fibrosis and distortion of the liver indicating the long-term progression of the disease. I asked him about the chances of these tests coming back as successfully as the tests that he ran in Mexico. He looked at me point blank and said that the results he is now getting at his clinic as long as they follow his precise protocols will absolutely without question be duplicated in all the clinical trials that are forthcoming. Doctor Hitt said that his results were instrumental in compelling a giant in the medical field to join Medizone and that this person is absolutely convinced that the trials will be successful, and this will go to the world market. Doctor Hitt said he is and will remain very involved in all aspects of the testing. I was in a later conversation with Doctor Hitt when one of his assistants came in with some recent results. After he looked at the results he turned to me and said that this is hands down far and away the best HVC treatment from a side effect, cost and end result perspective in the world. After that the utterance cure came out of his mouth. This was one of the most profound moments in my life.
Folks stop for a moment and think about this and the implications and draw your own personal conclusions. I am not one to speculate on the future price of the stock. I don't live and die with each 5-cent swing. I try to look at the big picture and if I am comfortable with the direction the company is taking will hold and increase my position. I have never been more comfortable with an investment in my life.
Bashers including buccaneer13. I watch the posts of some people on the board and it just amazes me the energy they put in to bashing this company. You would be ecstatic if the stock dropped to a dime, funding never materialized and no one else joined the company. Wouldn't it be great if we never started trials in Canada and didn't begin treating several hundred people. I can hear it a few months from now that we will never be able to duplicate the results from Mexico. God what a disaster if this becomes approved and we start treating people worldwide. If all you can do all day is spend your energy fighting a company like this hoping for it's failure I suggest you take a good look in the mirror and ask yourself what it is that you all about? What is your purpose and cause. Denying hope for 170 million chronically sick people? Protecting Market Makers short positions in a stock that could have a huge benefit to mankind? There are basically 2 types of people in the world. There are people that contribute to themselves their families and society enriching the lives of everyone they come in contact with. And there are people like you that do quite the opposite.
Don't bother responding I can for you. You are protecting us from making a bad investment decision.
Thank you for protecting us from investing in a 50 cent per share stock that a Nobel Prize winner feels is a cure for Hep C. Thanks for being smarter than the world class physician that is joining the company and the top patent attorneys of Morgan and Finnegan that feel our patents are encompassing and binding. Your posts are incessant, annoying and have no measure of intelligence or rationale associated with any of them. You remind me of an obnoxious 6-year-old boy I met recently on a beach in San Diego. Countless times his parents would ask him to not kick sand on people and to quit wrecking sandcastles but to no avail. No amount of reasoning could control him. He didn't have the emotional maturity to care or intellectual capacity to understand what his parents were asking of him. Do us all a favor get a life go away and do something productive.
But no you are like the 6-year-old child, to stupid and immature to realize what a spectacle/ass you are making of yourself. The only thing anyone can do with the likes of you is what I did with the six-year-old ignore him.
What challenges lie ahead? Medizone will be using its very specifically patented delivery device that is locked inside multiple other patents. Understand that at that point we will be very well along with trials giving us a tremendous head start not withstanding the patents. So now if they want to play they will have to start their own Ozone trials with out infringing on our patents. That will be difficult. We also have the advantage of the years of work Doctor Hitt has done in his ozone research for Hep C. Believe me you can't just start shoving ozone gas into patients and expect to get the same results. Doctor Hitt has refined protocols that include frequency, intervals, and dosages etc to the point that he can reduce/eliminate viral loads and build the immune system. Any one attempting to jump on board will be starting from scratch, assuming they can start at all. Any attempt by the big Pharms to capitalize on our work at this point will simply bring more attention to our cause and company.
If anyone has any questions with what is taking place or contemplating treatments at the Hitt Institute do not hesitate to post your questions. I can tell you firsthand that he is saving lives as we speak. |
