Ron,
I love the "Cold War" facts being unfolded every Sunday @4pm EST on CNN. According to that, the U.S. did execute espionages during the Cold War. And one British acted as a double agent during the Korean War, because he felt sorry to see the B-29 bombers were bombing civilians at that time.
