Joe, >i heard rumors that Intel might be interested to buy Silicon Graphics. Any comments ? Yikes, I hope not: 1. Buying a workstation company wouldn't set too well with Intel's main customers, CPQ, Dell, etc. 2. SGI has lost $$ for several years now; just about since Jurassic Park and the Clinton/Gore visit. 3. What would they add? Graphics expertise? 4. SGI has a lot of employees. Would Intel want the headache of finding out how many are gainfully employed, then the ugly L word creeps in... Yikes
