Denon Selects Analog Devices' Signal Processing Technology to Power World's First DTS-ES Extended Surround(TM) A/V Receiver - New Melody decoder, data converters and SHARC(R) DSPs enable highest performance audio signal processing. NEW YORK, June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Analog Devices, Inc. (NYSE: ADI - news) today announced that the Denon AVR-5800, the world's first A/V receiver to offer the DTS-ES Extended Surround(TM) digital entertainment audio standard, incorporates high performance signal processing components developed by Analog Devices, and embedded solutions developed in conjunction with Denon and DTS. The AVR-5800 receiver integrates Analog Devices' Melody(TM) DTS-ES Extended Surround decoder, also announced today, running on the 32-bit SHARC DSP, and the industry's highest performance audio DAC, the 192-kHz AD1853. The Denon AVR-5800 uses Melody DTS-ES Extended Surround decoders for end-to-end 32-bit digital audio decoding and is the first A/V receiver with these decoders. Analog Devices' AD1853 DACs help maintain true 24-bit/192-kHz digital output capability, to provide the highest possible resolution for all surround sound movie and music formats.
