I think working & living in the Silicon valley and seeing just how many new ideas, dreams, markets etc. are actually being worked on... and how the whole World will benefit from the winning ideas, it makes me bullish for the future.

Well, six months ago, the ponytails were claiming, "We are the future!!!!". Now, the same ponytails are saying, "We have the right business model, we will be profitable in 2 to 3 years, man!" <g>

However enthusiastic and optimistic that one can be about those new ideas, dreams etc. etc., one should also wake up and realize that all those dreams have been fully discounted and then some, in today's tech stock valuations.

I keep hearing views like yours all the time. There is a tremendous amount of complacency out there. People are still buying tech stocks on margin. That is what makes me feel that the bargain basement is still several floors down...
