Dear Mr. Finkelstein:

On what grounds are you considering filing a suit against Vari-L? Having read all the filings related to Vari-L's need to amend past earnings statements, I have seen nothing that indicates that the amendments will be material or even unfavorable.

Based upon the stock's performance over the past few days, it would seem the price is reacting more to the actions of self-promoting lawyers, possibly such as yourself, rather than any news on the company. Isn't it interesting that the stock was around $17/share prior to Vari-L's announcement regarding the need to amend past financial statements and that it had recovered to $15/share before such noble law firms as Berman, DeValerio & Pease LLP, Schiffrin & Barroway, LLP, and Milberg Weiss filed suits on my behalf sending the stock down below $11/share. It would seem that these well intentioned lawyers have caused me to lose over 25% of my investment in Vari-L over the past week. Please tell me how your firm is so different and how I will benefit by having you represent me.

I believe the SEC has been looking into law firms filing lawsuits (dare I even use the word "frivilous") which clearly will not benefit any shareholders but simply line the pockets of their so-called legal representatives who lick their lips in anticipation of an insurance company settlement which is less expensive than letting the matter reach the courtroom. Don't you think Vari-L may be a perfect case for the SEC to examine?
