SLINGER, Wis., Jun 15, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- GENROCO, Inc. (OTC
Bulletin Board: GRCI), manufacturer of leading-edge Storage Area Networking
(SAN) Gateway/Router/Switch systems and high performance PCI Host Bus Adapter
products, today announced that one of the industry's leading networking experts,

McGowen, a leading authority in high-performance networking and switch design,
previously held the position of Chief Technical Officer for Intrusion.com
(formerly ODS Networks) and was founder and President of Essential
Communications, Inc. prior to its acquisition by Intrusion.

"I am very pleased that Michael will be adding his experience and insights to
our innovative SAN developments," stated GENROCO Chairman and CEO Carl A. Pick.
"His networking infrastructure acumen adds significantly to GENROCO's base of
expertise as we move our leading edge products out to market. His visionary
spirit and industry contacts provide us with a greater ability to develop
unique, exciting new offerings."

In 1992, McGowen formed Essential Communications and led the company until its

and oversee laboratory networking projects.

"I am excited and honored to assume this new role and to build upon GENROCO's
legacy of creating products that utilize the computer industry's greatest
advancements," said McGowen. "As we move into faster commodity systems, the
ability to seamlessly interconnect storage and networking has become an absolute
