Is it possible that hi-speed wireless internet will make inroads into the flash storage market -- You take a picture and email it home?

I think you'll always need some sort of temporary storage media. It would be too taxing on the infrastructure to download and upload images all the time.

Wireless internet access will be integrated into many devices in the future. It will be a very complementary technology to flash, as you will need to store the data which is streamed or downloaded from the net. Removable flash is ideal for this because as wireless access gets faster, more storage will be needed. It's better to just upgrade your flash memory card than to buy a whole new device with more embedded flash. Also, as the good doctor said in his interview on CNBC, not embedding the flash lowers the cost of the device. This is very important in the price sensitive consumer market.
