SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- Signing a contract on the digital line will have all the legal force of your signature on paper, thanks to Congressional approval of a bill setting national standards for digital signatures.

The new legislation, which was approved by the House on Wednesday, is expected to kick electronic commerce doors even wider. President Clinton is expected to sign the bill next week
