You're correct on the Forum timing.
I also went to Microsoft's Universal Plug and Play summit today, which was open to the public. Very impressive what people are doing. They had Broadcom, HP, Intel, Seimens, Leviton, Lantronix (embedded systems), and a host of other companies there. Intel was showing their UPnP SDK for Linux interoperating via SOAP with Windows systems and audio/visual devices. Of course, it was also demoed on WinCE and Win2K. WinME will be the first shipping version from Microsoft.
Broadcom was showing DVDs playing across a phone line network from one system to another. There were UPnP enabled peripherals, lights, appliances, A/V devices, hardware modules. I hadn't realized the amount of momentum behind UPnP until today. I didn't stay for the whole day, but what I saw looked very good.
Just thought people might want to hear.
