I think Inprise got whacked today because of the lingering association with Corel. I don't think anybody does take the company seriously, nor should they, and a CEO with the poor judgement to even consider a merger with such a company is not going over well on Wall Street. Why he hasn't resigned is a secondary issue to the question of why he hasn't been fired. His contract is up and I don't think anybody here is seriously suggesting he's capable of running this company, or, as it turns out, selling it. Again, I think the company is in a position to knock out BEA but there is no way that can happen under Fuller. Furthermore, he should be given no hiring authority for executive staff. That's a recipe for total disaster.
