I don't know what context to PUT your comment into.

There is no easy, safe, and cheap way to kill people in a society that attempts to protect the innocent.

I do not know where you get the idea I think it is uncool to place restrictions on people though. I think prisoners should be much more restricted than they are now. Especially very violent prisoners.

I don't think very violent people should be allowed to mix with anyone. They should live out their days in solitude and be allowed books, access to religious instruction and nourishing but plain food, and nothing else.

I think drugs should be decriminalized thus freeing up enormous penal resources for the really violent criminals.

I think white collar criminals should work off their debt to society through weeks, months or years of community service- putting them in prison is simply too much of a waste. Let them work in the inner cities teaching at risk children to read, teaching inner city kids with learning disabilities- for there are a disproportionate number of men in our prison systems that have learning disabilities.

Violence is rarely a very good answer and killing people by action of the state is violent- whether you hang them, or shoot them, or fry them, or give them a lethal injection.. It is always better (imo) to try to prevent the need to use violence than to try to figure out how to use it "right".
