<ot>Hi Red - re: channel, if channels for COMS, CPQ, SYBS etc etc are similar to that of CTXS, channel checking is a time honor tradition. What do you think the term "stuffing the channel" means :)? 4 years ago, a then networker ax, Mr Noel Lindsay, took the pain to check COMS channels, as well as looking at those of its competitors, before putting out his warning, that COMS had problems and they were not a industry wide problem. Now, this kind of leg work is what real analysts are made of. So, I respectfully disagree that analysts do not have the means to verify a co's healthy [short or long term] independent of the co's guidance. After all, anyone can get guidance from a co and many people have the technical skill in reading financial statements, but these analysts are racking millions, they'd better know more than us working stiff :)!
